If good things come to those who wait, we won the lottery!

At 3:30pm yesterday the Preiditsch Family grew with the additional of one amazing, beautiful, happy, chatty, talented and plump little boy!

Robert Cole Preiditsch has entered our world for good. All the waiting and distance apart was wisked away from us in about the time it takes for him to flash one of his trademark smiles.


After a little paperwork, we celebrated with our lawyer Paco and his wife Silvia. Merry was especially happy to see the infamous "pink slip" that notes our appointment at the US Embassy and symbolized the end of the process to bring Cole home.

A little shy at first, Cole quickly warmed to Mommy´s touch and comforting nature--she´s a natural at being a Mommy! As evidenced by his size--24lbs--he quickly took to his bottle and finished every drop quickly. He is a very good boy...incredibly happy. We´re so glad he was loved so much.


About 6 o´clock, we experienced our first crying spell. He has the sweetest little baby cry. From our expert experience in the baby field already (2 and half hours), we thought he was a little wigged out by the change in scenery, these two googly-eyed people kissing all over him and a little teething. He has two little baby teeth coming in on the bottom of his mouth.


Despite his size, he is still very much a baby. He is reaching and grabbing and his legs are very strong. He looks like he´s just about to hit the frog position stage, which means crawling is next for him. He is very active with his fingers, head and eyes. Probably the most suprising thing is how chatty he is. He babbled on for about an hour after we put him down...playing with his favorite golden teddy that Mommy gave him on our trip down in September.

We´d call last night a success sleep-wise. Though Daddy woke up every hour on the hour to see if he was breathing and comfy in his bed. Cole and Mommy both woke up very happy this morning. We even got away with a little early morning cuddling in bed...don´t worry no bad habits here...we just couldn´t resist a chance to bound with him.

Gotta go Merry is calling me to make a bottle!
