Fit For A Prince!

The room is ready, Cole's ready, we're ready, but alas the paperwork is not!

The good news we received last week was that the US Embassy in Guatemala gave us official "pre-approval" for our adoption application. This paperwork was then sent to a government department entitled PGN--this is a notary group consisting of lawyers who proof our documentation and draw up the final adoption paperwork. This one of a final series of three steps that will lead to the finalization of the adoption. Some friends we've made have been waiting in PGN for up to a month, but some go through in just two weeks.

After PGN our paperwork heads to the Central Registry to add our last name to Cole's birth certificate and passport...then it is back to the US Embassy for final approval and the issuance of a "pink slip," which is when we should get the phone call to come and pick him up! We're expecting this is about four weeks (keep your fingers crossed that it happens prior to Xmas!).

We've made great progress on his room...big thanks to Fatimah Abdullah for giving life to the room with the Little Prince mural. The We can believe how many clothes and toys he already has...thanks so much to all our friends for the gifts and hand-me-downs.See more photos below!
