Beunos Dias Cole!

You don't get to meet your son for the first time every day, so it is safe to say it was a day that we'll never forget! After a sleepless night of anxiety and excitement Merry and I got to meet Cole this am. What a guy!

Watch out Finley, Christopher and Abigail...you got a competitor for those knock out looks!

Of course I am a proud papa, but this guy has it all: looks, size, strength, charm, a sense of humor and an easy going nature.

He was fast asleep when we got there and he was totally unfazed waking up in Merry's arms.

He took one look at Merry and widened those big brown eyes of his and smiled. We were able to feed him a bottle...daddy changed him and we went for a little walk around the property...quite large by Guatemalan standards.

Cole's caretakers...a wonderful couple who care for several babies at their home in Guatemala. They have five sisters caring for 10 children--and from what we saw it works out pretty well.

It was pretty tough leaving, but knowing he is in good hands now makes the wait all seem worthwhile. We'll be a family very soon...
